Senate sets off gun control debate
ASHINGTON, April 11 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. Senate on Thursday voted to open debate on gun control measures advocated by President Barack Obama and mostly Democratic lawmakers, clearing the first hurdle for relevant legislation.
